Shrimati Gowri Poobalan Pravind is an accomplished Bharata Natyam dancer, teacher, and choreographer who has been a faculty member of Laasya Arts Academy since 2003. She began training at the age of five under Master Sivadass and completed her Arangetram in 1997, earning the title "Nrityanjali" from the Temple of Fine Arts International.
She has performed extensively in Malaysia and internationally, appearing in prestigious productions and dance festivals across Singapore, India, and Sri Lanka. Trained in Bharata Natyam as well as other classical and traditional dance forms, Gowri is recognised for her artistry and dedication to preserving Indian classical dance.
Alongside her artistic career, she serves as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer with the Ministry of Works, Malaysia, and continues to inspire audiences and students through performance, teaching, and cultural advocacy.
