Founded in 2026, The Flamenco Academy set out to bring high-quality, authentic flamenco instruction to Kuala Lumpur, training rooted in real técnica, real history, and real feeling.
We believe flamenco is not just a dance but a way of life. It brings joy, passion, and a deep appreciation of culture and community, and every class is built to share that spirit, not just the steps.
At The Flamenco Academy, we bring the passion and energy of traditional flamenco to life in an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone, regardless of skill level, can learn the art of flamenco and appreciate its history and culture.
Our philosophy
Authenticity first
We teach flamenco as it is danced in Spain: proper técnica, real palos, and genuine respect for the art form's history.
Everyone belongs
No prior dance experience, no particular body type, no partner required. Flamenco is for every student who walks through our doors.

A non-profit at heart
Our charity aims to provide free classes, costumes, and shoes to the less privileged among us, and to set up a scholarship fund for those who wish to pursue further flamenco training overseas but can't afford it without continued support.
The Academy is essentially a non-profit, with funds from enrolled students channelled back into classes and resources for people and groups who are less privileged, so we can share the joy and passion that is flamenco.
