Two free flamenco shows in Kuala Lumpur on 25 August 2026, choreographed by Nuria Garcia. The Campus in Ampang at 2pm, Marta's Kitchen in Sri Hartamas at 6pm.

Flamenco comes to two Kuala Lumpur stages this August, and both shows are free to attend. On Tuesday 25 August 2026, students of The Flamenco Academy perform two shows choreographed by Nuria Garcia: an afternoon show in Ampang and an evening show in Sri Hartamas. There is no ticket and no booking. Entry is free.
What is on the programme
Nuria choreographs and presents the show. It is danced by students of the academy, who will have finished three days of intensive training with her the day before. The programme runs through traditional flamenco song and dance, and includes concert castanets, which are not often heard live in Kuala Lumpur.
Part way through, there is a short workshop built into the performance. If you have ever wanted to try the compás rather than only listen to it, that is the moment to stand up. No experience is expected and nothing is required of you beyond willingness.

Want to be on the stage rather than in the audience
Everyone dancing that day comes from the masterclass Nuria leads earlier in the week, from Saturday 22 to Monday 24 August 2026, at the studio in Desa Pahlawan. It runs in two tracks, three hours a session:
Beginners / Improvers, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Elementary / Intermediate, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
The course fee is RM1,500. Book between 1 and 15 August and the early bird rate is RM1,200. Places are limited by the size of the room, and the showcase is the reason most people sign up: you learn the material, then you perform it two days later.
